We took the kids on an adventure Saturday. We set off looking for a pond to catch frogs. We new the name of the pond we wanted to find, but we had never been there before. After driving all the way to the top of the Nebo Loop we stopped and asked a guy if he had heard of Lizard Lake. He didn't know anything about Lizard Lake, but told us of a really cool place to catch Salamanders at Salamander Pond. So we ended up going to Salamander Pond only to find a really ticked off at the world guy with a gun. After yelling at us not to park in a certain spot in the parking lot, we all got out and headed to the pond and he started shooting right into the pond about 10 feet from us over the top on Boden's car seat. It was really scary, he was definitely on something and really unpredictable. After he stopped shooting we got the heck out of there and ran into Lesley and Ryan coming down the canyon. We followed them and finally found Lizard Lake. 2 mile hike down to the pond, but well worth it. The kids had so much fun catching Salamanders, Frogs and Polly Wogs. We were all covered in dirt and the 2 mile hike back up I thought I was going to die or maybe have this baby right on the trail. Wwwhhhhoooo It was rough!
